In 1949, Russell J. Santangelo made the move from school teacher to real estate agent. Building upon his sales experience in the bakery and produce industries as a young adult, he immediately realized that his days as a teacher were behind him. Seeing a future in the real estate business, he opened his own office on North Broad Street in Philadelphia.
Known as an incredibly creative and prolific advertiser, Russell J. Santangelo’s award winning ads carved a huge niche in the industry. Opening a second office in the heart of Montgomery County in the late 1950’s, the offices dominated the residential market for years and spawned numerous real estate brokerage firms.
In the early 1980’s, Robert Santangelo joined the family business, and, today, he continues the family tradition of innovation and excellence that his late father began over fifty years ago.
